Danish Lighting Center
Danish Lighting Center (DCL) is your direct access to the Danish lighting community in whole.
The center is a non-profit association for about 700 lighting professionals and has existed since 1948. Our members are lighting manufacturers, researchers, engineering companies, architects etc. Our mission is promoting the use of good and appropriate lighting, and to disseminate lighting knowledge to the benefit of society.
We serve our members with opportunities to meet and up-to-date knowledge on daylight, lighting technologies, standards, legislation, research on lighting, energy efficient lighting and environmental conditions for lighting.
We issue the only Danish specialized magazine on light and lighting called ‘LYS’ (Danish for ‘LIGHT’) four times a year. Ideas for articles and advertisements are welcome.
Most of our communication is in Danish – but don’t worry: Google Translate is invented, and on our annual national conference ‘Lysets Dag’ (‘Lighting day’) half of the speakers and many exhibitors speak English.
Non-residents are more than welcome both as personal members (affordable 1.500 DKK/year), sponsors (‘Støttemedlemmer’) and subscribers on the magazine.
