Ungt Lys: Light Talk
Join us for a Light Talk and some networking!
Change of programme: Our guests will be Christina Dvinge (Reflektor Studio) and Stine Maria Louring Nielsen, PhD Student in Lighting Design at Aalborg University (Stine Maria Louring Nielsen will substitute for Sabine Møller.)
Christina Dvinge, Studio Reflector
Christina has been working with light for a couple of years and most recently as part of the Reflector Light Festival, which took place in Søndermarken in 2016 and 2017. Christina also worked as a lighting consultant for this year's Distortion Festival. She will tell us about her way into the light industry and what she is fascinated and inspired by in her work.
"Studio Reflector is a creative light agency based in Copenhagen. We work across design, art, anthropology and urban development. We love purpose and function as much as beauty and creativity, and call them all to help us come up with innovative ideas and solutions that deal with the relationship between people, places and light. "
Stine Maria Louring Nielsen, Aalborg University
For several years, Stine has been working as a trained anthropologist (cand.scient.anth.) within the field of healing architecture, co-operating with architects and designers in the intersection between people, physical environment and health. Currently, she is carrying out her PhD studies in Lighting Design at Aalborg University in Copenhagen, investigating the potential of coloured illuminations in (healthcare) environments. Contextually, her PhD research is structured around three phenomenological studies, examining the significance of coloured illuminations for the body-space interaction in (healthcare) environments. More specifically, she investigates how different hues of illumination might impact:
1. How people sense their body and space (Study 1 – Semi-lab)
2. How people bodily practice and experience space (Study 2 - Fieldwork)
3. How people perceive space (Study 3 - EEG)
