Ungt Lys: Light measurement – Visit at Viso Systems

We are happy to announce the next event of the year. It has been a tough start of the year, but we are finally starting to get a bit back to normal again. Yahhh!

You are cordially invited to the first physical Ungt Lys event of 2021. We have got this amazing opportunity to come and visit Viso Systems, a goniospectrometer producer with their own lighting laboratory based right in central Copenhagen. So if you want to get hands on with a lighting lab and really see how it works, this is your chance!

The event will be hosted by Anne Bay, who has a very long history within the lighting industry. She has worked as Research and development manager at Louis Poulsen, was director of Dansk Center for Lys from 2012-2019 and also managed Copenhagen Light Festival (2017-2019).

Agenda: 

• Introduction to Viso Systems
• Lighting lab and distribution files – How is this data created and how to use it in your next lighting design
• Lighting lab spectral distributions – How is it created and how to use it in your next lighting design
• Hands on light measurements with the portable LightSpion and the large LabSpion goniometer systems
• Play with the results – What can you do with the output and analyze

Anne Bay has given the opportunity, that if a member of this group has experimented with building a fixture/luminaire, you may hand it in, and she will make a light test during our visit. Please send us and mail if you are interested: ul@centerforlys.dk. Anne will need the luminaire a few days in advance to arrange for goniometer fixtures. Also be prepared to discuss your luminaire and its light with the other participants.

Limitations: There is room for up to 20 participants – first come, first served, so sign up is required – see below this page.
